This kayak outing is available 7 days a week
as a private tour for individuals or your group!

  • Paddle  into Florida's past to learn about local history, ecology and basic paddling skills.
  • This four-hour tour is enjoyable for beginners and experts alike.
  • Tours launch from inside John D. MacArthur State Beach Park, every Friday and Sunday morning and paddle into Lake Worth Lagoon.

  • After exploring the lagoon you will land on historic Munyon Island, now part of John D. MacArthur State Beach Park, where you will see the stunning results of an extensive restoration project.
  • The island was once home to an exclusive getaway for the rich and famous, circa 1900. You'll hear about the island's namesake and his infamous claim to fame.
  • Back in your kayak you will paddle through productive seagrass beds and saltwater flats past lush stands of mangrove trees. Look out for Ozzie and Harriet, the area's resident bottlenose dolphins.
  • You'll have a chance to explore a protected mangrove estuary on your own before beginning your trip home.
  • Your investment includes your kayak, life jacket, paddle and the knowledge and good spirits of our staff.
